San Luis Obispo Bicycle Accident at Grand and Fredericks Avenues

Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in San Luis Obispo Crash at Grand and Fredericks

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (April 21, 2023) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash at Grand and Fredericks avenues in San Luis Obispo.

According to The Tribune and KSBY News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on April 21 at about 4:33 p.m.

The incident happened when a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in San Luis Obispo. The driver hit the bicyclist at the intersection of Grand and Fredericks avenues.

Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim hurt. The cyclist sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a trauma center for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of Grand and Fredericks avenues to shut down after the incident.

The cause of the San Luis Obispo bicycle crash is still under investigation.
