Man, 59, Killed in San Marcos Crash on Twin Oaks Valley Road
SAN MARCOS, CA (February 7, 2022) – A driver was killed after a car crash on North Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune and CBS 8 San Diego, the tragic accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:20 a.m.
The incident began when a 2001 Honda Civic was pulling onto North Twin Oaks Valley in San Marcos. At the same time, a Toyota 4-Runner was going north.
For an unknown reason, the Toyota broadsided the Honda just north of East Mission Road. The sheriff’s department said the impact then forced the Civic into a BMW 328i.
Multiple Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 59-year-old man driving the Honda who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the other two motorists ended up unharmed. Officers forced North Twin Oaks Valley Road to shut down for several hours following the wreck.
