2 Injured in Sanger Crash at Highway 180 and Del Rey Avenue

SANGER, CA (June 14, 2021) – A car crash left two people injured at Highway 180 and Del Rey Avenue in Sanger.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:45 p.m.

CHP said a motorist driving recklessly slammed into another vehicle in Sanger. The two crashed on eastbound Highway 180 at the intersection with Del Rey Avenue.

The incident log described the cars involved as a black Nissan 370Z  and a white BMW 4-door.

2 Cars Collide in Sanger

Your Central Valley wrote that firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near Bethel Avenue and then extricated one trapped person from the wreckage.

Two individuals ended up hurt and a sign was knocked down as a result of the collision. CHP confirmed that at least one person sustained major injuries upon impact.

Medical personnel soon rushed both patients to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 180 at Del Rey to shut down for about an hour following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Sanger crash.
