1 Seriously Injured in Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 101 at Mission Street
SANTA BARBARA, CA (December 17, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person on Highway 101 and Mission Street in Santa Barbara.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident took place late Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:38 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Santa Barbara. They crashed on southbound Highway 101 at the Mission Street off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a green Honda Civic and a gray Honda. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound Highway 101 at Mission Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Barbara crash is still under investigation.
