2 Injured in Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 101 Near Milpas Street
SANTA BARBARA, CA (August 20, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a crash on Highway 101 near Milpas Street in Santa Barbara.
According to an article published by the Noozhawk, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:55 p.m.
The incident happened on August 19 when four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Santa Barbara. The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed on southbound Highway 101, just south of the Milpas Street on-ramp.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of two people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Milpas following the wreck. The cause of the Santa Barbara crash is still under investigation.
