2 Injured in Santa Barbara County Crash on Highway 101 at Solomon Grade
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (February 15, 2022) – Two were seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 at the Solomon Grade in Santa Barbara County.
According to the Noozhawk News and KEYT News, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck on February 14 shortly after 8 a.m.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said the incident began when an SUV was going north on Highway 101 between Santa Maria and Los Alamos.
For an unknown reason, the car rolled over multiple times, went off the road and came to a stop in a field. The vehicle crashed at the Solomon Grade Summit.
Rollover Crash on Monday
Two occupants ended up ejected from the SUV as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found both patients who sustained moderate injuries upon impact. They took them to the Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced Highway 101 at the Solomon Grade to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
