Rider Dies in Collision on Highway 101
Santa Barbara, CA (August 31, 2022) – A deadly traffic accident occurred Wednesday morning on State Route Highway 101, the KVTA News reported.

Our sources indicated a 31-year-old male was riding a 2022 Yamaha ZR7 motorbike heading north on SR-101. According to the article published online, the motorcyclist crashed into the left rear of a blue 2022 Honda CRV. The collision took place south of Salinas.
Shortly after 10 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the rider ejected from his bike. Medical personnel immediately attended to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old woman driving the Honda CRV appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal crash happened on State Route 101 in Santa Barbara.
