At Least 1 Hurt After Car Accident on Highway 101 Wednesday
Santa Barbara, CA (May 19, 2021) – Injuries were reported following a suspected hit-and-run car crash on U.S. Rotue 101 in Santa Barbara Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, officers received reports of a vehicle found disabled along the southbound side of Highway 101. Preliminary investigation revealed the silver Honda Civic collided with a second vehicle. The force from the impact caused the Honda to veer off the traffic lanes.
Emergency teams arrived at the site shortly after 5:30. p.m. When medical personnel arrived at the accident scene, near Carillo Street, they found one person complaining of pain. Paramedics provided first aid to the man then transported them to a hospital for further evaluation .
Several facorrs surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the hit-and-run crash in Santa Barbara.
