At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Gibraltar Road Saturday
Santa Barbara, CA (February 8, 2022) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Gibraltar Road on February 5, Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck a man riding a bicycle in the streets of Santa Barbara. The collision took place in the 3100 block of Gibraltar Road; in the area near Camino Cielo.

Officials confirmed the motorist fled the scene following the crash. No immediate information was available on description of the vehicle involved in the accident.
Meanwhile, the bicyclist sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics treated the patient for unspecified injuries. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the victim pending confirmation.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect. Further investigation is ongoing on the bicycle accident on Gibraltar Road in Santa Barbara.
