Santa Clara: Hit-and-Run Car Crash on San Tomas Expressway1 Driver Injured in Car Accident on San Tomas Expressway Near Homestead Road Monday

Santa Clara, CA (April 20, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision on San Tomas Expressway on April 19, Monday.

According to the Mercury News, a dark-colored sedan was seen driving at a high rate of speed on southbound San Tomas Expressway near Homestead Road.

Our sources indicated the sedan collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Homestead Road and Saratoga Avenue. The make and model of the second car involved in the wreck remained unknown at this time.

Shortly after 9:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found the second vehicle pushed into a third vehicle. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities said the driver of the second vehicle suffered injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the patient to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the dark-colored sedan fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
