Bicyclist Injured in Santa Cruz Hit-and-Run at Graham Hill and Ocean
SANTA CRUZ CA (April 27, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Graham Hill Road and Ocean Street in Santa Cruz.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the incident shortly after 8 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Graham Hill Road and Ocean Street in Santa Cruz.
Driver Hits Bicycle Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Highway 1. They then found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained from the impact. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the roadway to close following the Santa Cruz hit-and-run crash.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
