1 Killed in Santa Cruz Crash on Alba Road Near Ben Lomond and Brookdale
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (July 23, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on Alba Road in Santa Cruz County.
According to an article published by the KION News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:17 p.m.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Ben Lomond and Brookdale in Santa Cruz County.
2 Cars Collide
The cars, including one described as a black Toyota 4Runner, crashed at 12085 Alba Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not bene yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Alba Road to shut down between Western Avenue and Stoddard Road for three hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Santa Cruz County crash is still under investigation.
