Pedestrian Killed in Santa Maria Crash at McClelland Street and Alvin Avenue
SANTA MARIA, CA (November 28, 2021) – A crash killed a pedestrian at McClelland Street and Alvin Avenue in Santa Maria.
According to the KEYT News and Noozhawk News, the fatal accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision shortly before 7 p.m.
The incident happened on November 27 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him at McClelland Street and Alvin Avenue in Santa Maria.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to a hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of McClelland and Alvin to shut down for a time following the collision.
