Santa Paula Car Crash Highway 126 Near 10th Street

5 Injured in Santa Paula Crash on Eastbound Highway 126

SANTA PAULA, CA (April 2, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash along Highway 126 in Santa Paula.

According to an article published by The Ventura County Star, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers wreck at around 2:22 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed in the eastbound lanes of Highway 126 near 10th Street in Santa Paula.

A CHP dispatch described the cars involved as gray Honda Odyssey, a white Audi and a white Ford Flex. A total of 10 people, including five infants, occupied them at the time of the collision.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found five patients who ended up injured as a result of the incident.

Medical personnel took four of them to Ventura County Medical Center and one to Santa Paula Hospital. At least one suffered major injuries while the other sustained minor injuries upon impact.

Officials did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound side of Highway 126 to shut down for an hour following the crash.

Authorities are still determining the cause of the Santa Paula wreck.
