Innocent Person Injured in Collision on Santa Fe Avenue
Vista, CA (April 17, 2023) – Police arrested 33-year-old Saul Celerino Villanueva Delgado following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred on North Santa Fe Avenue, the FOX5 News reported.
Our sources indicated Delgado was behind the wheel of a blue Audi traveling at a high-rate of speed near the intersection of North Santa Fe Avenue and Vista Village Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Audi made an illegal U-turn, and ran a red light at the crossing. Subsequently, the Audi crashed through a median fence and hit a Nissan SUV.
Emergency crews responded to the accident scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. When medical personnel arrived, they checked the conditions of two occupants in the Nissan and the driver of the Audi. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person in the Nissan sustained injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, detectives later determined the Audi driver was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Police then arrested Saul Celerino Villanueva Delgado on suspicion of DUI.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
