1 Seriously Injured in Selma Crash at Highway 43 and Caruthers Avenue
SELMA, CA (December 31, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash at Highway 43 and Caruthers Avenue in Selma.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4:09 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Selma. They crashed on Highway 43, known as Highland Avenue, at the intersection with East Caruthers Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Mountain Avenue. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 43 and Caruthers Avenue to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Selma crash is still under investigation.
