DUI Driver Fatally Hits Pedestrian Near Highland Avenue
Selma, CA (April 23, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Friday evening on Rose Avenue, the Fresno Bee News reported.
Officials said an alleged drunk driver struck a man walking near Highland Avenue. The horrible crash took place Friday around 10:30 p.m.
According to the article published online, the driver was heading east on Rose Avenue. The catastrophic incident took place when the eastbound Nissan Versa veered into the westbound lane. The wrong-way vehicle ended up hitting the pedestrian.

Responding medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim. Sadly, the patient eventually succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 58-year-old man.
Investigators later discovered the driver of the Nissan was intoxicated at the time of the crash. A Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy found the suspect, then arrested him on charges of felony driving under the influence; felony gross vehicular manslaughter; and felony hit-and-run causing great bodily injury.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
