At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Collision on Golden State Highway Monday
Selma, CA (May 3, 2021) – A road accident involving two trucks occurred Monday evening on State Route 99, also known as Golden State Highway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two semi trucks collided for an unknown reason in the northbound side of SR-99. Initial records indicated the crash took place at the Mountain View Avenue offramp.
Shortly after 8:10 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found at least one big rig engulfed in flames. A person possibly involved in the collision was seen trying to pull out another party from the fiery wreckage.
Major Injury Truck Accident in Selma, May 3
The California Highway Patrol dispatch later mentioned an air ambulance landed at Selma Flee Market. The helicopter transported one patient with major injuries from the accident. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led to the truck accident in Selma.
