1 Injured in Shafter Crash on 7th Standard Road
SHAFTER, CA (December 14, 2022) – At least one was injured after a car crash on 7th Standard Road in Shafter.
According to an article published by the 23 ABC News, the accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 9:30 p.m.
The incident happened on December 12 when a driver ran a red light for an unknown reason at a Shafter intersection. The California Highway Patrol said multiple cars then became involved in the collision on 7th Standard Road.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Cars
One of the vehicles slammed into a power pole nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
One person ended up hurt as a result of the accident. Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of 7th Standard Road to shut down following the wreck.
Officers added that the collision caused outage in the area. The cause of the Shafter crash is still under investigation.
