4 Injured in Collision at Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue
Sacramento, CA (October 7, 2022) – Police arrested 29-year-old Shasha Adams following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue.
The ABC10, and KCRA3 published an article online reporting a reckless driver was spotted at the intersection of Franklin and 52nd. Officers then launched a pursuit on the allegedly intoxicated driver.
When the chase reached the crossing of Franklin and 47th, the suspect ended up crashed into another car. Authorities added the suspect also struck a female pedestrian walking in the area. The crash took place shortly before 1 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the accident scene and rendered aid to all possible victims. According to the article published online, all three occupants of the struck vehicle sustained minor injuries. In addition, the pedestrian reportedly suffered serious injuries, then transported to a hospital.
DUI Car Crash in Sacramento
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. For this reason, police arrested the suspect–Shasha Adams, on DUI charges.
The California Highway Patrol is the agency handling the investigation.
