Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Happy Valley Road
Shasta County, CA (August 18, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident Thursday morning on Highway 273, the ABC7 News reported.
Officials said a male party stepped into the traffic lanes for an unknown reason. At about the same time, a Ford sedan was passing in the area near Happy Valley Road. The motorist tried to swerve to avoid hitting the man. Sadly, the car still struck the pedestrian in the southbound side of Highway 273.
According to the article published online, two other drivers run over the body lying on the ground.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 273 in Shasta County
Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Highway 273 in Shasta County.
