Man, 60, Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near South 20th Street Saturday
Sherman Heights, CA (November 14, 2021) – A 60-year-old man suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Market Street.
On November 13, a vehicle struck an individual near South 20th Street in Sherman Heights. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported a Kia Sportage was driving in the fast lane of Market Street Saturday afternoon.
When the vehicle approached the area near 20th Street, the driver failed to slow down and hit a pedestrian crossing in an intersection. The collision took place around 5:15 p.m.

The article published online mentioned the force from the impact resulted in injuries to the pedestrian. Responding paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries–including a fractured pelvis and femur.
Additional details on the crash have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the pedestrian accident on Market Street in Sherman Heights happened.
