1 Killed in Sherman Oaks Crash 101 Freeway Near Coldwater Canyon
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 25, 2023) – A crash killed one person on the 101 Freeway and Coldwater Canyon Avenue in Sherman Oaks.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck on February 25 at about 1:13 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles.
2 Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed on the westbound 101 Freeway near the Coldwater Canyon Avenue on-ramp.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced at least one individual dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The report added that one vehicle ended up facing sideways as a result of the collision. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal Sherman Oaks crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 101 Freeway to shut down near Coldwater for a time following the wreck.
