1 Injured in Sherman Oaks Hit-and-Run Crash on 405 Freeway Near Highway 101
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 30, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on the 405 Freeway near Highway 101 in Sherman Oaks.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place late Thursday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:35 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the northbound 405 Freeway, just north of Highway 101, in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood.
A vehicle obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to the Sherman Oaks Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway to shut down near Highway 101 following the wreck.
The cause of the Sherman Oaks hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
