Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Delivery Truck on Geer Road Near Monte Vista Avenue Thursday
Turlock, CA (July 29, 2021) – One person died following an accident involving a delivery truck occurred on Geer Road Thursday, the ABC10 News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a man was sleeping for an unknown reason on the loading dock driveway in the 3000 block of Geer Road. At about 10:30 a.m., a delivery truck arrived and the operator attempted to drive back into the lading dock.
Deadly Accident in Turlock, July 29
In the process, the delivery truck reportedly run over the sleeping man. The collision resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian. Personnel from the Turlock Fire Department arrived at the site and attempted to revive the victim. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and died.
Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials said the driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly accident in Turlock.
