Somis crash Highway 118 Walnut
1 Injured in Somis Crash at Highway 118 and Walnut Avenue
SOMIS, CA (October 13, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Highway 118 and Walnut Avenue in Somis.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 3:40 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Somis. They crashed on westbound Highway 118 at the intersection with Walnut Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Mesa Elementary School. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. CHP did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound Highway 118 at Walnut to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Somis crash is still under investigation.
