Man, 32, Seriously Injured in Sorrento Valley Crash at Miramar Road and Miramar Place
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 9, 2021) – A driver was seriously injured after a car crash at Miramar Road and Miramar Place in the Sorrento Valley neighborhood.
According to an article published by FOX 5 News, the accident occurred on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 8 a.m.
The incident happened when a 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan was trying to make a left turn onto Miramar Place from eastbound Miramar Road in Sorrento Valley.
At the same time, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Stake Bed truck was going west. In the process, the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Car vs Truck Collision Near Interstate 805
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene, just east of the Interstate 805. They found the 32-year-old man driving the Chrysler suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took him to a hospital for treatment of significant head trauma. Officials did not release his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old man operating the truck ended up unharmed upon impact. Officers forced the roadway to shut down following the Sorrento Valley crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
