Pedestrian Killed in South Los Angeles Crash on San Pedro Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 26, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on San Pedro Street in South Los Angeles.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place late Monday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:14 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in South Los Angeles. The driver hit the person at 10601 South San Pedro Street between Century Boulevard and 108th Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the person dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, LAFD did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced a stretch of San Pedro Street to shut down for a time after the accident.
The cause of the fatal Los Angeles pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
