2 Injured in South Whittier Crash Near Cole and Lambert Roads
SOUTH WHITTIER, CA (February 12, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash near Lambert Road and Cole Road in South Whittier.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 8:30 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in South Whittier on February 11. They crashed on Cole Road, just south of the intersection with Lambert Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a black BMW, a Toyota Corolla and a Dodge pickup truck. The BMW obtained a broken rear axle while the Dodge ended up with major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Parnell Park. They found two people who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patients to the UCI Medical Center and PIH Health Whittier Hospital for treatment. The report did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Cole and Lambert roads to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the South Whittier crash is still under investigation.
