1 Injured in Spring Valley Hit-and-Run at Sweetwater Springs and Austin
SPRING VALLEY, CA (October 5, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Sweetwater Springs Boulevard and Austin Drive in Spring Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident shortly 4 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided in Spring Valley. One vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Sweetwater Springs Boulevard and Austin Drive and struck the other car.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Jamacha Boulevard. They found one person who ended up as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver who ran the red light did not stop to help and fled the area. The Spring Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the intersection of Sweetwater Springs and Austin to shut down following the wreck.
