Stephen Wright, 69, Killed in Simi Valley Bicycle Crash Near Los Angles and Sycamore
SIMI VALLEY, CA (April 29, 2022) – Stephen Wright was killed after a bicycle crash near Los Angles Avenue and Sycamore Drive in Simi Valley.
Police identified the 69-year-old Simi Valley man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened when Stephen Wright was riding a bicycle near the intersection of Los Angles Avenue and Sycamore Drive in Simi Valley.
Police said for an unknown reason, a commercial flatbed truck approached and then hit him. The KVTA News wrote that the accident occurred on April 27 shortly after 12 p.m.
Bicyclist Hit by Truck
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Stephen Wright and his bicycle down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the truck stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man.
Officers forced the area of Los Angles and Sycamore to shut down for five hours following the collision. The cause of the Simi Valley bicycle crash is still under investigation.
