Driver, 34, Fatal Victim in Big Rig Collision Near Towerline Road Sunday
Bakersfield, CA (October 18, 2021) – Steven Alejandro Pallares, a 34-year-old man from Arvin, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 58.
The KGET News reported Steven Pallares was driving a semi truck heading east on Highway 58 in Bakersfield. For an unknown reason, the truck slammed into the back of another big rig. Officials said the catastrophic incident took place just west of Towerline Road.
Steven Pallares Killed in Bakersfield Truck Accident
Shortly after 5:20 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Paramedics reportedly found one person with serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures, one person sadly died as a result of the collision.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Steven Alejandro Pallares.
Additional details on the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly truck accident on Highway 58 happened.
