
Bicycle Rider Killed in Stockton Crash Near Mariposa and Stagecoach Roads
STOCKTON, CA (March 28, 2023) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Mariposa Road and Stagecoach Road in Stockton.
According to the KCRA News and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on March 28 at around 4:40 p.m.
Stockton police said the incident happened when a semi-truck hit a 52-year-old man riding a bicycle for an unknown reason. The big rig struck him on Mariposa Road near the intersection with Stagecoach Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the bicyclist down on the ground. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the truck stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced Mariposa Road to shut down for a time in both directions after the incident.
The cause of the fatal Stockton bicycle crash is still under investigation.
