Summer Wilson, 43, ID’d as Suspect in Saugus Hit-and-Run Crash at Bouquet and David
SANTA CLARITA, CA (February 4, 2022) – Authorities detained Summer Wilson after a hit-and-run crash that badly injured a pedestrian in Saugus.
The sheriff’s station identified the 43-year-old Santa Clarita woman as the suspect in the collision which took place on Tuesday.
The incident began when Summer Wilson was driving a white Ford Excursion in the Saugus neighborhood. For an unknown reason, she struck a teenage pedestrian at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and David Way.
Boy Hit and Badly Injured by Car
The Hometown Station wrote that the accident occurred on February 1 at around 7:40 a.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene.
They found the victim who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took him to a local hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded patient at this time. Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the woman did not stop to render aid to the teen and fled the area.
They soon arrested Summer Wilson on felony hit-and-run causing injury or death and released her on a citation the following day. The cause of the Saugus hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
