Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 5 Near Lankershim Boulevard Sunday
Sun Valley, CA (June 6, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a suspected hit-and-run accident on Interstate 5, also known as Golden State Freeway, in Sun Valley early Sunday morning.
According to My News LA, a vehicle struck an individual in the southbound side of the freeway in Sun Valley. The horrible crash took place north of Lankershim Boulevard.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Sun Valley, June 6
Rescue teams arrived at the accident scene shortly after 2:25 a.m. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the deadly pedestrian accident in Sun Valley is ongoing.
