1 Injured in Sunnyvale Crash on Highway 237 at Mathilda Avenue
SUNNYVALE, CA (October 13, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 237 and Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sunnyvale on October 12. They crashed on westbound Highway 237 at the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described a black Toyota Corolla and a gray BMW sedan. The Toyota obtained major rear-end damage and a broken right rear tire upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person hurt. The victim complained of pain to their neck as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the El Camino Hospital Mountain View for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound Highway 237 at Mathilda to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Sunnyvale crash is still under investigation.
