Susan Guinee, 56, Killed in San Ramon Crash at Crow Canyon and Bollinger Canyon
SAN RAMON, CA (May 11, 2021) – A crash at Crow Canyon and Bollinger Canyon roads killed Susan Guinee in San Ramon.
The Sheriff Coroner’s Division identified the 56-year-old San Ramon woman as the victim of the fatal wreck last week. The accident occurred on Wednesday, May 5.
The incident happened when Susan Guinee was trying to turn westbound on Crow Canyon Road from Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon.
At the same time, a Dodge pickup was going east on Crow Canyon. The truck apparently ran a red light at the intersection and slammed into the driver’s side of the Honda.
3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision
Police said a minivan became involved in the process. East Bay Times and Pleasanton Weekly wrote that the collision took place at about 12:15 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found Susan Guinee trapped in her car as a result of the crash. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
The 32-year-old Antioch man operating the Dodge, his 29-year-old female passenger and the 47-year-old woman driving the minivan ended up injured following the wreck.
Medical personnel took them to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of Guinee.
Meanwhile, the cause of the San Ramon collision is still under investigation.
