Susana Russel, 59, Killed in Hanford Pedestrian Crash at Douty and Eighth Streets
HANFORD, CA (December 2, 2021) – Susana Russel was killed after a pedestrian crash at Douty and Eighth streets in Hanford.
Police identified the 59-year-old woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday, November 30.
The incident happened when Susana Russel was walking at the intersection of Douty and Eighth streets in Hanford. For an unknown reason, a pickup truck hit her.
Woman Hit by Car in Crosswalk
Police said the car struck the victim in a crosswalk. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found her down on the ground.
Susana Russel sustained serious head injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash. Medical personnel then took her to an area hospital, where she died.
Your Central Valley wrote that the driver of the pickup and stayed at the site after hitting the woman and cooperated with the officers.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Douty and Eighth streets to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Hanford pedestrian incident is still under investigation.
