4 Injured in Talmadge Hit-and-Run Crash on Fairmount Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 11, 2021) – Several were injured after a hit-and-run crash on Fairmount Avenue in the Talmadge neighborhood.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune and ABC 10 News, the accident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:26 p.m.
The incident happened on April 9 when a 2002 Saturn sedan was going south in the 5100 block of Fairmount Avenue in Talmadge.
Police said for an unknown reason, another car struck the rear of the Saturn. In the process, the Saturn spun 90 degrees and collided with a southbound 2012 Nissan Altima.
Both the Saturn and the Nissan careened across a low divider section of the road into the northbound lanes of road. A northbound 2014 Toyota Sienna ultimately broadsided the Altima.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least four people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The 32-year-old man driving the Nissan sustained serious back and head injuries upon impact. His front-seat passenger suffered serious back injuries in the crash.
Medical personnel took them to the hospital for treatment. They also treated the 20-year-old man operating the Saturn and the 41-year-old motorist in the Toyota for their minor wounds.
Officials did not release the names of the victims and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver who hit the Saturn did not stop and soon fled the area.
