Injured Teenage Boy, 16, Dies at Hospital after El Cajon Crash
EL CAJON, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2021) — A 16-year-old San Diego boy died Sept. 10th at the hospital, weeks after a collision in El Cajon that killed the driver and injured several others at Fletcher Parkway and Navajo Road.
The San Diego boy and two others were all taken to hospitals. He was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital Hillcrest. Then on August 29th, he was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital where his health continued to decline. Finally, on Sept. 10th, the teenager died at the hospital.
Investigators reported two of the three passengers in the car were 11th-grade students. One of them is not from the same school district as the others.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the El Cajon Police Department.
