1 Killed in Tehama County Crash Near Malton Switch and Watkins Roads
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (December 10, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person near Malton Switch Road and Watkins Road in Tehama County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the tragic accident on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:15 p.m. on December 9.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Tehama County near the Glenn County border. The cars crashed near the intersection of Malton Switch and Watkins roads.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the vehicles as a black Ford Mustang and a white van. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Malton Switch and Watkins roads to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of fatal Tehama County crash is still under investigation.
