Motorcyclist Killed in Temecula Crash Near Jefferson Avenue and Calle Cortez
TEMECULA, CA (May 1, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist near Jefferson Avenue and Calle Cortez in Temecula.
According to an article published by the Riverside County News Source, the tragic accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 7 p.m.
The incident happened on April 30 when the motorcycle rider and SUV were traveling in the same direction in the city of Temecula. For an unknown reason, the motorcyclist struck the rear of the car.
Deputies said the two crashed near Jefferson Avenue and Calle Cortez. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the rider down on the ground.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Jefferson Avenue and Calle Cortez to shut down for a time following the wreck
Deputies did not mention if the driver of the SUV ended up hurt or if they stopped after the incident. The cause of the fatal Temecula crash is still under investigation.
