Terence Wingo, 54, Killed in Anaheim Crash on 91 Freeway Near Imperial Highway
ANAHEIM, CA (July 23, 2021) – A DUI crash killed Terence Wingo on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 54-year-old Tustin man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Wednesday.
The incident began when Terence Wingo was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim. At the same time, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed west.
CHP said the pickup then swerved to the left and slammed into a concrete center median. The truck veered right and clipped the rear of the Mustang.
Tesla Driver Injured in DUI Crash
In the process, the Mustang collided with the back of a 2021 Tesla. My News LA wrote that the accident took place on July 21 at about 3:45 p.m., west of Imperial Highway.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced Terence Wingo dead at the scene of the Anaheim crash. The driver of the Tesla sustained minor wounds as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that the speeding motorist was under the influence of a drug when the wreck happened. They soon arrested him for DUI.
The Anaheim crash is still under investigation.
