
3 Injured After Tesla Crashed Into Granite Bay Girl Scout Stand at Walmart
GRANITE BAY, CA (February 25, 2023) – Several were seriously injured after a Tesla crashed into a girl scout stand outside a Walmart in Granite Bay.
According to the CBS Sacramento and FOX 40 News, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on February 25 shortly before 4 p.m.
The incident happened when a 2015 Tesla was traveling through the parking lot of the Walmart at Douglas and Sierra College boulevards.
For an unknown reason, the vehicle plowed into a Girl Scout cookies table near the entrance of the Walmart. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene.
Drunk Driver Hits Girl Scout Cookie Table
The California Highway Patrol said three people, two Girls Scouts and a woman, ended up hurt as a result of the collision. The two children, ages 9 and 10, sustained moderate injuries upon impact.
The third victim, a 76-year-old woman survived the incident with major injuries. Medical personnel rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment.
The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the entrance of the Walmart to close following the wreck.
CHP determined that the male driver of the Tesla was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the Girl Scout stand. They soon arrested the man for DUI.
The Granite Bay crash is still under investigation.
