Thomas Rodriguez, 50, Killed in Car Crash on La Grange Road
LA GRANGE, CA (January 30, 2022) – Thomas Rodriguez was killed after a car crash on La Grange Road in La Grange.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 50-year-old Merced man as the victim in the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday.
The incident happened when Thomas M. Rodriguez was riding as a passenger in a 2021 Kia going north on La Grange Road. At the same time, a 2017 Acura RDX was traveling south.
3 Injured in Wreck
For an unknown reason, the Kia drifted into the southbound lane. CHP said in the process, the two cars collided head-on north of Old La Grange Road.
Both Thomas Rodriguez and the female driver of the Kia died at the scene of the crash. The Merced Sun Star wrote that the wreck took place on January 29 at about 12:07 a.m.
CHP added that the three occupants of the Acura sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics took them to hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, the cause of the La Grange crash is still under investigation.
