2 Injured in Thousand Palms Crash Near Washington Street and Ramon Road
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (January 4, 2022) – A head-on crash injured two people near Washington Street and Ramon Road in Thousand Palms.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 4 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Thousand Palms. They crashed near the intersection of Washington Street and Ramon Road.
The incident log described the cars involved as a gray Toyota Camry and a black Honda Civic. Both obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Thousand Palms Canyon Road. They found two parties who ended up hurt as a result of the incident.
One victim sustained major injuries upon impact while the other survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel took them to the Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The names of the wounded patients and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, the cause of the Thousand Palms crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the area of Washington Street and Ramon Road to shut down for an hour following the wreck.
