Teenager Arrested After Fatal Collision at College and Court Street
Woodland, CA (April 10, 2023) – Tina Vital, a 43-year-old woman, died following a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in the area of College and Court Street, according to KCRA3 News.
Earlier reports indicated the collision began when a 13-year-old who stole a car from a family member. The teenager accelerated and drove erratically in the streets of Woodland Saturday, April 8.
Preliminary investigation revealed officers launched a pursuit and attempted to stop the teenager. The article published online mentioned the suspect failed to yield and continued driving at a high-rate of speed. When the 13-year-old boy approached the intersection of College and Court, he crashed into two other vehicles.
Authorities said the force from the impact caused one or more cars to burst into flames. Our sources mentioned a total of 11 people were involved in the catastrophic incident.
Deadly Car Accident in Woodland
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics found at least one person suffering in serious injuries. The Woodland Police Department later confirmed the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Family members later identified the deceased as Tina Vital.
Officials added ten other people, including the 13-year-old who caused the collision, sustained injuries. Personal information on the injured parties have not been discussed thus far.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the tragic accident that happened at College and Court Street in Woodland.
