1 Seriously Injured in Tipton Crash on Southbound Highway 99
TIPTON, CA (July 9, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a semi-truck crash on Highway 99 in Tipton.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team said, the accident occurred on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:49 a.m.
CHP said two semi-trucks, including one operated by FedEx, collided for an unknown reason in Tipton. They crashed on the southbound side of Highway 99 near Highway 190.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Tipton crash.
