Tony Tatum, Henry Hurtado Suspects in Deadly Street Race Car Crash on 230th Street

Carson, CA (March 31, 2021) – Police arrested four people, including Tony Tatum and Henry Hurtado, in relation with a fatal car crash on 230th Street that occurred on Christmas Day last year.

According to KTLA News, Tony Tatum and Henry Hurtado were illegally racing on East 230th Street in Carson on December 25, 2020. When the two cars approached the 900 block of the roadway, they crashed into each other.

Our sources indicated the collision sent at least one automobile careening onto the sidewalk lined with spectators. The vehicle drove towards the crowd and hit 66-year-old Daniel Patten II, of Long Beach. The bystander reportedly sadly died as a result of the incident.

On March 31, Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Department identified 36-year-old Tony Tatum and 33-year-old Henry Hurtado as the suspects in the fatal car crash in Carson. Per news article published online, Tatum was charged with one count each of murder; and conspiracy to commit a crime. Meanwhile, Hurtado was charged with one count of murder; and two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.

Further investigation on the case is underway.
