Pedestrian Killed in Crash on South Tracy Boulevard Sunday

TRACY, CA (February 13, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on South Tracy Boulevard in Tracy.

According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 9:35 a.m.

The incident happened when a male pedestrian was walking in the middle of South Tracy Boulevard. Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him in the 2600 block of the road.

Man, 70, Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the 70-year-old man lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel then pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver  stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced a stretch of the Tracy Boulevard to shut down for a time after the pedestrian accident.

The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
